Yes — Nest Mate is free for landlords managing their first property, and always free for tenants. Paid plans cover additional properties and team features.

Q.03Is Nest Mate part of the Landlord and Tenant Board?+

No. Nest Mate is an independent Canadian app. We help landlords and tenants create, send and keep track of official Ontario rental documents, but actual hearings still take place at the LTB.

Q.04Which Ontario rental notices can I create?+

All of the commonly used ones — N1, N2, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N9, N11, N12, N13, L1 and L9. Each form is pre-filled from your lease, so there’s no copy-pasting.

Q.05Where is my data kept?+

All your information stays in Canada, on secure, encrypted servers (Supabase + AWS Canada Central). Documents are private to you and the other party on your lease.

Q.06Can tenants use Nest Mate on their own?+

Absolutely. Tenants can browse listings, build a portable rental Passport, and ask past landlords for references — even before they’ve signed a new lease.
